Job Description
In the Consulting Services organization in Nuance Healthcare the Manager role plays an integral role within the Consulting Services team leading a team of Application Consultants focused on delivering education, consulting services as well as driving adoption of our Dragon Medical One "DMO" and Surgical Computer-Assisted Physician Documentation "SCAPD" solution. This team is responsible for guiding our providers to successful outcomes in the use of DMO/SCAPD by coaching users to successful behaviors when using the technology and delivering an exceptional onboarding experience.
Manager of Application Consulting is a results-oriented leader that provides overall management and leadership in the day-to-day management of a services team and solutions experts. Manager of Application Consulting must be well-versed in operational performance improvement and professional consulting services, as well as delivery of technology solutions in healthcare. Provide effective performance feedback through employee recognition, rewards, and disciplinary action, with the assistance of the People Team, when necessary. Maintain employee work schedules including assignments, job rotation, training, paid time off, and time and expense reporting. The manager will maintain and reinforce a goal-oriented environment that stresses customer success, departmental and employee accountability, goal achievement, and teamwork.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Accomplishes staff results by communicating job expectations clearly and managing appropriately to ensure consulting delivery best practices are followed.
- Ensure client engagements are delivered in a manner which meets/exceeds customer expectations
- Manage Consulting Services staff primarily focused on DMO and SCAPD in the Healthcare division ensuring all policies and procedures are followed.
- Mentor new employees in new and existing roles to ensure positive outcomes and high-performance delivery of customer experience and achievement of outcomes.
- Manage the highly skilled and geographically distributed professional services team including hiring, performance management and reviews, professional development, and coaching.
- Planning, assigning, and directing work; rewarding and disciplining team members; addressing complaints and resolving issues.
- Provide guidance, expertise, and consulting insight to internal/external customers
Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
Required Skills:
- Must have 4 + years experience leading employees
- At least 5+ years leading professional services/consulting team within technology solutions companies.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working within, and providing services to, the healthcare Provider market.
- Demonstrated achievement in enablement & change management/performance improvement in highly complex, fast paced environments.
- Business process design
- 3+ years of experience with a demonstrated record of success in scaling services-based solutions
- Can easily navigate conversations with executive leadership teams between the business and technical areas of a software implementation project, providing leadership in both.
- Strong operational, analytical, problem solving and written & oral communication skills.
