This is a critical leadership role on the program management team and an excellent opportunity for the candidate to gain significant program management experience.The Senior Manager will be responsible for overseeing program execution including external earned value reporting, engaging with supply chain, operations, and engineering for engineering development model (EDM) procurement and build, and leading proposal activities for engineering change proposals (ECPs) and future production.This role requires a leader with a strong command of PM best practices to enhance program execution. The leader must have an executive leadership presence, confidently lead across complex cross functional teams and customer stakeholders, foster a culture of accountability and execution excellence, and role model RTX values and leadership behaviors.The Senior Manager supports strategy, vision and tactical direction and meets contractual commitments and company expectations. This role is supports downward communication of top-level project goals, objectives and decisions and upward communication of program performance to senior management.The role is Hybrid based and can be located either Marlborough, MA, or Largo, FL. There could be up to 15% travel domestically to our core site locations.What You Will Do:

- Assures on-time execution of contracts and proposal submittals through empowerment, communication, setting expectations, and building teams.
- Acts as empowered authority to accomplish objectives.
- Drives tactical execution while meeting strategic objectives.
- Establishes and maintains key programmatic metrics, defines milestones, critical path and monitors adherence to program budgets and schedules.
- Supports the program Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and long-term financial outlook and commits to specific financial goals and obligations.
- Leads the collaboration necessary across functional groups, broader RTX organizations and subcontractors to ensure program success. Ensures that functional resources, tools, and processes are utilized in a consistent way.
- Supports initiatives to drive down cost, improve performance, and win competitions.
- Maintains an energetic and productive work force. Provides leadership to indirect reports, multi-functional teams and key partners with abilities to organize and prioritize to ensure successful execution of all commitments.
- Establishes strong and purposeful relationships with customer. Maintains lines of communications with the customer to assure timely awareness and customer trust.
- Supports growth strategies, with a significant focus on growing the business for both existing capabilities and future capabilities.
- Minimum of 10 years of leadership experience in government, defense, aerospace or related industry.
- Experience leading development and production programs. A strong command of Program Management overseeing program management tools such as R/O Management, Cost and Schedule Management and Earned Value Management.
- Demonstrated understanding of the Estimate at Complete (EAC) process, and an understanding of the Earned Value Management System (EVMS) process
- Must have proven experience with Government contracting requirements and the DoD acquisition management process.
- Must hold an Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance required prior to start date, Day 1
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years' experience Engineering/Other Technical.
- May have deep knowledge of project management. Advanced knowledge of related disciplines within work area and ability to identify links and potential impact on projects, programs or systems.
- Typically requires A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years' experience Engineering/Other Technical Positions:
