Summary About the position: This position will be assigned to the Maintenance Department at University Inn Lodging on Maxwell/Gunter AFB, Alabama. This position is a Regular Part-Time. You are guaranteed 20 hours, however you could work up to 35 hours per week. Requirements Conditions of Employment This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results. Current valid state driver's license is required as incumbent will be required to drive both on and off base. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical. This position has been identified as a Test Designated Position (TDP). The incumbent of this position will be subject to and must consent to a pre-employment and random drug testing. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must have experience that demonstrates the ability to perform minor plumbing, painting, electrical and carpentry duties. Experience could have been gained in any type position of "handyman" with duties in the area required. must have a knowledge of proper tools used in the different areas of the maintenance section. Experience must have demonstrated ability to work independently, with little need for direct supervision. Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution. FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying. Additional information Individual must fully meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
