Summary
Serves as legal counsel within the Office of the Chief Counsel, Aviation Litigation Division (AGC-300), providing legal counsel, advice, and assistance concerning a variety of aviation litigation matters.

- This Level 5 (Moderate Risk; Public Trust) position requires favorable adjudication of a Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) background investigation prior to appointment unless a waiver is obtained.
Qualifications
To qualify for this position, ALL applicants MUST meet the following criteria:
(1) have a JD Degree from an accredited law school; and
(2) be admitted to practice before the bar of any U.S. jurisdiction state, territory, the District of Columbia or the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico; and
(3) be an active member of the BAR; and
Applicants must demonstrate at least one year (52 weeks) of SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE equivalent to the next lower grade/pay band (FG/GS-12 or FV-H) that is typically related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities required to successfully perform the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been at least equivalent to the next lower level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE is defined as:
- Experience advising on a full range of legal matters relating to aviation litigation law issues.

- College Park, GA: $92,964 - $177,917 (incl. 23.45% locality pay for Atlanta, GA)
- Des Plaines, IL: $98,205 - $187,948 (incl. 30.41% locality pay for Chicago, IL)
- Fort Worth, TX: $95,570 - $182,904 (incl. 26.91% locality pay for Dallas, TX)
- Oklahoma City, OK: $87,971 - $168,362 (incl. 16.82% locality pay for Rest of U.S.)
- Washington, DC: $ 100,351 - $192,056 (incl. 33.26% locality pay for Washington, DC)
- El Segundo, CA: $104,328 - $161,693 (incl. 38.54% locality pay for Los Angeles-Long Beach, CA)
