Satisfactory completion of a minimum of 4 hours initial food sanitation and safety training is required within 30 days of employment and a minimum of 4 hours refresher training annually Must meet state/local age requirements (18) at the time of appointment if serving alcoholic beverages Certificate of Medical Examination required Incumbent may also be required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally controlled facilities Frequently lifts and moves items weighing up to 40 lbs. Requires constantly standing, stooping, bending, walking and reaching Must be willing to work irregular hours to include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on mission needs Qualifications Qualifications: Be able to lift and carry weights up to 40 pounds. Possess math skills necessary to calculate patron bills and take inventory. Skills and Knowledge: Able to work alone. Know proper use of special cleaning and sanitizing solutions. Know simple food handling techniques. Able to serve uniform individual portions. Avoid distractions when several guests ask for different items at the same time. Able to use simple arithmetic. These skills and experience must be reflected on your resume to be considered eligible for this position. Education This job does not have an education qualification requirement. FWS Allowances and Differentials This is a federal wage schedule (FWS) position. All FWS employees are entitled to overtime work for work in excess of 8 hours in a day or in excess of 40 hours in the administrative workweek, whichever provides the greater benefit to the employee. Regular full-time, regular part-time (to include those in a limited tenure appointment category) and regularly scheduled flexible employees are entitled to Sunday premium pay when working Sunday shifts. A FWS employee will be paid a night shift differential of 7.5% for the entire shift when a majority of the employee's regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work occur between the hours of 1500 and 2400. A FWS employee will be paid a night shift differential of 10% of the scheduled rate if a majority of the employee's regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work occur between the hours of 2300-0800. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. Non-Foreign Overseas Allowances Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
