Summary
This position is for Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (FMWR) at Fort Drum, New York. FMWR includes Child and Youth Services, Business Recreation, and Support Services, which enable Soldier readiness, support the resiliency and well-being of Soldiers and Families.

Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
A one year probationary period may be required.
Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
This position requires a favorably adjudicated T1/NACI background investigation.
Must be willing to accept intermittent, on-call employment.
Management reserves the right to reassign employees to other facilities.
Work schedule will be irregular. The incumbent will be required to work, nights, weekends, holidays and/or unique events.

Work experience which involved dealing with the general public.

This position is located at The Peak and/or Magrath Sports Complex but may be used to fill other Recreation Assistant vacancies within the Business Recreation Division.
Area of Consideration:
The Area of Consideration for this vacancy announcement is U.S. Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. or U.S. Territory for three (3) or more continuous years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation and reside within the Local Commuting Area (defined as 100-mile radius) of Fort Drum, NY.
Spouse Employment Preference (SEP) and Involuntarily Separated Military Preference (ISMP) are included in this area of consideration.

This is a pay-banded position.
Sunday Premium and Night Differential pay have NOT been authorized by the Garrison Commander or the Collective Bargaining Agreement for Flexible positions with no guaranteed hours.
Incentives and Bonuses
Incentives will not be paid.
Non-Foreign Overseas Allowances
Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid.
