CUSTODIAL WORKER

Summary This is a NAF position with the 17th Force Support Squadron, located at the Angelo Inn on Goodfellow AFB, San Angelo, Texas. This position is considered Regular Part-Time (RPT). You are guaranteed 20 hours, but has the potential to work up to 40 hours/week. You may be required to work nights, weekends and holidays. As a RPT employee, you are eligible to earn annual/sick leave and sign up for benefits, to include Health/Dental and Life Insurance, 401k and NAF Retirement. Requirements Conditions of Employment Appointment to this position is subject to a background investigation to determine your suitability for Federal employment. This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: No previous experience or training is required. Must be able to follow simple oral and written instructions and be able to use hand or lightweight powered cleaning tools or equipment. Must be physically able to frequently lift and empty wastebaskets: lift and carry items weighing up to 20 pounds. Must be able to continuously stand, stoop, and reach for long periods of time. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical. Must be able to satisfactory complete a Tier-1 background investigation. Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution. FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying. Additional information Individual must fully meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position. U.S. Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. Territory for three (3) or more consecutive years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation or a signed memorandum indicating the installation's decision on the 3-year residency requirement..
