Summary / Role Purpose

Join the Ansys Student Internship Program! The student intern will be part of the Ansys Rocky R&D Verification team (QA-Quality Assurance/testing team). The specific focus for this internship position is the Verification and Validation activity, of DEM and SPH physics related to Ansys Rocky software (Particle Dynamics Simulation software - DEM/SPH).

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Learn DEM/SPH and other physics.

• Learn about software testing and engineering documentation for simulation software.

• Work with testing automation, and engineering documentation automation.

• Work in a variety of computing environments: [list, e.g. Windows, Linux, VM's, Compute Clusters, Cloud]

• Work to automate testing procedures.

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience

• BS in Engineering (in progress), or related field with 2 years of experience, or Previous knowledge of engineering simulation software - CAE (DEM, FEA, CFD).

• Familiarity with Verification and Validation of mathematical models using experiments and/or scientific papers.

• Fluency in English language.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

• Familiarity with Ansys products.

• Discrete-event simulation methods (mainly DEM and SPH).

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to learn quickly and to collaborate with others in a geographically distributed team.

• Basic programming (scripts) languages knowledge (Python / C++).
