Summary
This position is location in the Emerging Technologies Division, General Aviation and Commercial Branch, GA Section 2, AFS-752. Responsible for providing expert guidance and advice to management, involving the development of and interpretation of agency policies; regulations and standards applicable to national integration of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) and urban air mobility systems (UAM) into the National Airspace System (NAS).

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to FV-H, FG/GS-12. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position. Experience includes:
Knowledge of statutes, regulations, licensing/permitting requirements, and precedent decisions governing environmental operations sufficient to use in planning implementing or monitoring environmental programs and services (e.g., determining needs, evaluating program effectiveness, assuring compliance with regulations such as the National Environment Policy Act (NEPA), and other Federal environmental laws and regulations.
Knowledge of the National Environment Policy Act (NEPA), and other Federal environmental laws and regulations related to the environmental aspects of worker safety issues; and resolution of problems that have future implications and obligate the FAA to fiscal commitments.
Knowledge of environmental specialties such as Special Use Airspace, SHPO Coordination, Tribal processes, and
environmental noise analysis.
Ability to analyze data, identify problems, recommend alternative/solutions, adjudicate and resolve complex
environmental issues with other parties to reach an outcome. Communicating complex environmental technical and non-technical information.
Knowledge of a wide range of advanced concepts, theories, practices, and techniques of environmental program planning and management.
Skill in National Historic Preservation Act, Endangered Species Act, Migratory Bird Act, Clean Water
Act, the US Department of Transportation Section 4(f), and Clean Air Act.
