Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
A favorable Tier 3 background investigation is required for all Non-Critical Sensitive (NCS) positions with access to network systems and Personally Identifiable Information (PII).
IAW BUMEDINST 6230.15B, susceptible or occupationally exposed health care employees who have direct contact with patients will receive appropriate immunization against communicable diseases,
unless a current immunization, a protective titer, or a medical exemption is documented. This policy applies to all health care settings, regardless of age or sex of the health care employee.
Employees who have contact with/or potential exposure to human blood/blood products (whether from patient care, laboratory, other health care settings) are provided hepatitis B virus vaccine IAW the local blood borne pathogen exposure control plan.
This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is therefore subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations.
One year trial/probationary period may be required.
Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service which includes reviewing, analyzing, processing, and maintaining medical records and compiling or extracting medical records data to ensure compliance with regulatory guidance. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
Additional information
Male applicants born after December 31, 1959 must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
One year trial/probationary period may be required.
