Summary You will serve as an GG/GS-13 Intelligence Specialist at providing technical advice on a wide range of complex analysis, evaluation, collection, interpretation, or dissemination of information and/or products relative to an assigned area(s) on narcotics/counter-narcotics, illicit trafficking transnational organized crime and drug trafficking organizations. This position is located in Suitland, MD. Learn more about this agency Requirements Conditions of Employment Must be a US Citizen. Must be determined suitable for federal employment. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing. You must acknowledge in writing that you are accepting an appointment in the DCIPS (excepted service) which does not confer competitive status, prior to appointment. Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326. Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service. This position requires a periodic polygraph examination. This position may requires a 2-Year DCIPS trial period requirement. Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties such as: performing the following duties such as: 1) Collecting, analyzing and interpreting complex data from multiple sources to assess the significance, patterns, tactics, and trends directly related to narcotics, illicit maritime trafficking, and drug trafficking organizations 2) Providing tailored maritime intelligence, including illicit containerized cargo detection, monitoring, and targeting support to non-traditional customers including federal law enforcement, DoD counter drug forces, foreign military, and law enforcement agencies 3) Planning, implementing and maintaining databases for intelligence assignments required to process all-source material and the production of technical or operational intelligence in his/her assigned area(s) 4) Maintaining liaison with personnel in other intelligence agencies, law enforcement organizations, laboratories, services, and allied foreign governments to discuss production requirements andprovideinformation 5) Representing agency or organization positions at interagency and/or international meetings and conferences.
