Summary This position is for Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (FMWR) at Fort Drum, New York. FMWR includes Child and Youth Services, Business Recreation, and Support Services, which enable Soldier readiness, support the resiliency and well-being of Soldiers and Families. Requirements Conditions of Employment Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required. Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position. A one year probationary period may be required. Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check. Satisfactory completion of a minimum of 4 hours initial food sanitation and safety training is required within 30 days of employment and a minimum of 4 hours refresher training annually. Must meet state/local age requirements (18 years of age) at the time of appointment if serving alcoholic beverages. Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with Army Regulation 215-3. This position requires a favorably adjudicated T1/NACI background investigation. An employer referred pre-employment physical examination is required. Must be willing to accept intermittent, on-call employment. Management reserves the right to reassign employees to other facilities. Work schedule will be irregular. The incumbent will be required to work, nights, weekends, holidays and/or unique events. Qualifications Qualified candidates will possess the following: meet state/local age (18 years of age) requirements for the serving of alcoholic beverages by the projected appointment date of 3/18/2025, AND ability to work without more than normal supervision, AND ability to keep your work area clean, neat, and in order, AND application of basic food preparation and handling techniques, AND ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions, AND familiar with basic sanitization principles, AND ability to use and maintain kitchen tools and equipment, AND ability to stand, stoop, bend, pull, push and reach for long periods of time, AND ability to regularly lift and move items weighing up to 40 pounds and occasionally lift and carry up to 45 pounds.
