Summary
This position is located at Deputy AIG, Office of Audit/Fair Housing, Healthcare Programs, and HUD Mission Support Ops. As an Auditor (Performance) (Field Auditor), you will conduct internal and/or external performance reviews and audits of HUD programs administered by HUD and external program participants.

Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized Experience: For the GS-13, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes:
- Using a computer and appropriate software to gather and analyze data, prepare presentations, and prepare audit work papers; AND
- Conducting opening and exit conferences to present findings and recommendations; AND
- Documenting results in audit reports with appropriate summaries, conclusions and recommendations; AND
- Isolating and identifying conditions affecting financial management, susceptibility to fraud, and the potential for increased efficiency.
Education
Degree: auditing; or a degree in a related field such as business administration, finance, public administration or accounting.
or
Combination of education and experience: at least 4 years of experience in Performance Auditing, or an equivalent combination of performance auditing experience, college-level education, and training that provided professional auditing knowledge. The applicant's background must also include one of the following:
- A certificate as a Certified Internal Auditor or a Certified Public Accountant, obtained through written examination; or
- Completion of the requirements for a degree that included substantial course work in auditing or accounting, e.g., 15 semester hours.
The education generally must be from an accredited (or pre-accredited) college or university recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. If you are qualifying based on foreign education, you must submit proof of creditability of education as evaluated by a credentialing agency. Refer to the OPM instructions.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT (CONTINUED):
- A one year probationary period may be required.
- Public Trust Background Investigation will be required.
- Complete a Declaration for Federal Employment to determine your suitability for Federal employment, at the time requested by the agency.

- Have your salary sent to a financial institution of your choice by Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer.

- Obtain and use a Government-issued charge card for business-related travel.
- File a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report within 30 days of appointment and annually from then on.
- Pass a detailed background investigation.
- Be willing to occasionally travel.
