Summary About the position: This position will be assigned to the Auto Skills Center at F. E. Warren AFB, WY. This position is considered Regular Part Time (RPT) with a guarantee of 20 hours, but has the potential to work up to 40 hours per week. As a Regular Part Time employee, you are eligible for leave and benefits; health and life insurance, 401K, retirement. The starting pay for this position is set by Federal pay setting regulations at $24.42 per hour. Learn more about this agency Requirements Conditions of Employment This position requires the incumbent to complete a Tier 1 NACI background investigation with favorable results. This position has physical lifting requirement which requires the incumbent to complete a favorable pre-employment physical. This position has been identified as a drug Test Designated Position (TDP). The incumbent of this position will be subject to and must consent to a pre-employment and random drug testing. This position requires the incumbent to possess a valid U.S. driver's license. Qualifications Who May Apply: Open to everyone. Qualifying Experience: Requires working knowledge of maintenance equipment and automotive mechanics, skill in the use of a wide variety of equipment repair tools, and various types of mechanical repair Knowledge of the theory, care, and operation of internal combustion engines and mowing equipment is required Ability to communicate effectively and keep business records Must be able to follow written and/or oral instructions, work orders, and specifications related to maintenance of equipment and vehicles Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution. Additional information Individual must fully meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
