Summary This position is located on the Island of Oahu. This is a Regular Part-Time position with a min work week of 20 hours and eligible for benefits/leave accrual This position is entitled to 8.64% COLA (Island of Oahu). COLA is subject to change without notice. DoD approved commissary privileges to CYS employees. Requirements Conditions of Employment Must be 18 years of age or older at time of appointment or placement into the position. Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required. Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Child Care Tier 1 background investigation. Must have current health assessment which documents good mental and physical health, freedom from communicable disease, and immunizations in accordance with current Army and DoD policy including annual influenza vaccinations. A one year probationary period may be required (either initially or upon conversion, if applicable). Successful completion of annual training requirements within the prescribed time frame and demonstrated on the job competence is required. Failure to achieve desired training with demonstrated competence may result in separation. Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) Check. Position requires working with computers, peripherals, software and common hand and electrical tools. May be required to work irregular hours and weekends. Qualifications 1. Be able to communicate in English (verbal and written) 2. Be 18 years of age at time of employment. 3. Possess and maintain ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs, walk, bend, stoop, and stand on a routine basis. 4. Possess and maintain health and freedom from communicable disease. 5. Possess knowledge and demonstrated skill in Microsoft Windows and Applications using the Internet (email, searching, web page design) and network computing. 6. Possess a professional certificate or higher related to computer science/information technology, or 24 months of experience working in the related field (please review 'Duties' section). Pay-Band Allowances and Differentials This is a NF pay-banded position. Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. When authorized, night differential will be paid at the rate of 10% basic rate for hours of non-overtime work performed between 1800-0600. Incentives and Bonuses As an added employee incentive, the Department of Defense (DoD) granted approval to extend temporary limited commissary privileges (excluding the purchase of tobacco or alcohol products) to CYS employees. This temporary approval expires 31 December 2025. 100% discount for 1st child, 25% discount for any additional child (ern) enrolled into a full time or part time or before/after program. Bonuses will not be paid. Non-Foreign Overseas Allowances and Differentials: This position is entitled to 8.64% COLA (Island of Oahu). COLA is subject to change without notice.
