Summary About the position: This position will be assigned to the Whiteman Inn-Lodging at Whiteman AFB, MO. This position is considered flexible. You are guaranteed 0 hours, however, could work up to 40 hours per week. Flexible employees are not eligible to earn annual leave or sign up for benefits. Employee will be eligible for the use of the fitness center, golf course, bowling center, club, swimming pools and other activities. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: No previous experience or training is required. MUST be able to follow simple oral and written instructions and be able to use hand or lightweight powered cleaning tools or equipment. MUST be physically able to frequently lift and empty wastebaskets, lift and carry items weighing up to 20 pounds. MUST be able to continuously stand, stoop, and reach for long periods of time. Physical Efforts: Work involves light physical effort. Continual standing, bending, stooping, reaching, frequent lifting and pushing carts up to 20 pounds. Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution. FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
