Summary This vacancy is being filled through the OPM's Direct Hire Authority. The Information System Security Officer in Selective Service System is responsible for developing, implementing and administering IT security standards and guidance to protect from unauthorized access. Qualifications At the GS-13 level, you must meet the following qualification: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level. Specialized experience is that which has equipped the applicant with the competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. Examples of specialized experience for this position includes leveraging Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) tools; utilizing Cyber Security Assessment Management (CSAM) or other similar GRC systems to store and archive security documentation; experience with GRC systems such as Cybersecurity Assessment Management System (CSAM) to identify each phase of the Risk Management Framework (prepare, categorize, select controls, implement, assess, authorize, and system monitoring); and experience as an Information System Security Officer (ISSO). AND IT-related experience which demonstrates the (four) required competencies - Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Oral Communication, and Problem Solving.
