Summary About the position: This position will be assigned to the Outdoor Recreation. This position is considered Regular Full Time. The position is guaranteed 40 hours. The starting pay rate for this position is $21.00 per hour. Requirements Conditions of Employment This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Experience demonstrating working with the routines and procedures followed in group activities or programs. Familiarity with practical knowledge and/or experience of recreational activities and equipment in addition to rules and procedures in a recreation program. Experience in customer service and skills working with the public. Must have skills necessary to operate basic cash register transactions and conduct inventories. Experience in the use of engraving and CO2 is desirable. Knowledge of varied and/or advance functions of graphic computer software (i.e., Adobe Illustrator, Corel Draw) is recommended. This is a position of trust. Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution. FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program.
