Summary This position is assigned to the Regional Fleet and Family Support Program; Family Readiness; Commander, Navy Region Korea; Chinhae, South Korea. The incumbent serves as the Region Program Director providing primary advisory services to the Regional Commander on all human services matters, as well as provides leadership, policy and program expertise, and regional oversight for Fleet and Family Support Centers within the area of responsibility. Requirements Conditions of Employment Must pass all applicable records and background check. Must be a U.S. Citizen to obtain and maintain a Secret Security clearance. Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a current state driver’s license in order to obtain a Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA) license for the purpose of traveling to all sites within the AOR. Must successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check. Any discrepancies must be resolved as a condition of employment. Qualifications Resumes must include information which demonstrates experience and knowledge, skills, and ability (KSAs) as they relate to this position. A qualified candidate possesses the following: Per SECNAVINST 1754.8, incumbent must be qualified as a Tier III provider, and shall meet the following requirements: EDUCATION: including at least one of the following- Master's degree from a program accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Education Programs or an equivalent degree. Master's degree from a program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Marriage and Family Therapy Education or an equivalent degree. Master's degree in Social Work from a graduate school of Social Work accredited by the Council on Social Work Education or an equivalent degree. Doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology from an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited university or professional school and a 1-year APA accredited clinical internship. AND CREDENTIALS: Licensure/certification by a state or U.S. territory that provides legal authority to provide clinical services as an independent practitioner in the fields of Licensed Professional Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Clinical Social Work, Clinical Psychology or Counseling Psychology. AND Must have engaged in two years full-time clinical experience post independent licensure or certification. Education If qualifying all of in part based on education, proof of education MUST be submitted at time of application in order to be considered. EDUCATION: including at least one of the following- Master's degree from a program accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Education Programs or an equivalent degree. Master's degree from a program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Marriage and Family Therapy Education or an equivalent degree. Master's degree in Social Work from a graduate school of Social Work accredited by the Council on Social Work Education or an equivalent degree. Doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology from an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited university or professional school and a 1-year APA accredited clinical internship. Additional information Some positions have special requirements. Selectee may be required to complete a one (1) year probationary period. Salary is dependent on experience and/or education. Salary is inclusive of locality pay.
