Summary
About the position:
This position will be assigned to Barksdale Air Force Base Louisiana Child Development Center.
This is a Regular Part Time Position. Guaranteed hours are 20 but may work up to 40 hours a week. Benefits available are Medical, Dental, Retirement, 401K, Sick leave, and Annual leave.
Physical Effort:
Frequently lifts or moves objects weighting up to 20 pounds unassisted, occasionally lifts or moves objects weighing more than 20 pounds with assistance.

This position requires the incumbent to complete a childcare background investigation with favorable results.
This position requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain current record of immunization.
This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and one every three years thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
This position requires the incumbent to obtain a Food Handlerβs Certificate and/or complete food handler's training.
This position requires satisfactory completion of pre-employment checks in accordance with Air Force and DoD policy, and a Child Care Tier 1 background investigation.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience:
Must be able to follow simple oral instructions, be able to use hand tools for cleaning and operate simple machines. Must be skilled in doing task with several steps and must use judgement in sequencing tasks. Must have knowledge of sanitation standards in handling and serving food and cleaning equipment and work area.
You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.
FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
