Summary This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Office of Information Technology(OIT), Division of Cyber Threat and Security Operations (DCTSO). As a IT Specialist (Security), GS-2210-14, you will provide advanced technical subject matter expertise for the design, architecture, engineering, implementation, and operations of enterprise CMS Cybersecurity Incident Center (CCIC). In order to qualify for the GS-14, you must meet the following: You must demonstrate in your resume at least one year (52 weeks) of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal government, obtained in either the private or public sector, to include: 1) Leading cybersecurity risk incident response or monitoring capabilities for environments that include cloud hosting platforms (e.g., Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure), or applications, or web services, or network traffic to support business goals; 2) Evaluating emerging cybersecurity threats to determine or mitigate risks; and 3) Coordinating a pilot (test) program or implementing a new project/program from inception to completion. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
