Summary This position is located on the Island of Oahu Youth Sports and Fitness. This position is a Regular Full-Time position with a minimum work week of 40 hours and eligible for benefits/leave accrual. This position is entitled to 8.64% COLA (Island of Oahu). COLA is subject to change without notice. 100% discount for 1st child, 25% discount for any additional child (ern) enrolled into a full time or part time or before/after program. Requirements Conditions of Employment Must be 18 years of age or older at time of appointment or placement into the position. Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required. Meet qualification/eligibility/physical/background requirements for this position. Must have current health assessment which documents good mental and physical health, freedom from communicable disease, and immunizations in accordance with current Army and DoD policy including annual influenza vaccinations. A one year probationary period may be required (either initially or upon conversion, if applicable). Successful completion of annual training requirements within the prescribed time frame and demonstrated on the job competence is required. May be subject to an irregular hours, evening and or weekends. Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) Check. Positions that require driving require the incumbent to have a valid driver's license. Travel to on and off post locations required. Qualifications Work experience must be reflected on resume to be considered. 1. Progressively responsible work experience that provided knowledge of equipment and facility maintenance, inventory, ordering and instructing 2. Use of various recreation equipment 3. Good customer relations skills 4. Must be physical able to walk, bend,stoop, stand on a routine basis 5. Lift supplies and equipment weighing up 50 pounds Education This job does not have an education qualification requirement. PCS Costs Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest. Pay-Band Allowances and Differentials This is a NF pay-banded position. Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. When authorized, night differential will be paid at the rate of 10% basic rate for hours of non-overtime work performed between 1800-0600. Incentives and Bonuses As an added employee incentive, the Department of Defense (DoD) granted approval to extend temporary limited commissary privileges (excluding the purchase of tobacco or alcohol products) to CYS employees. This temporary approval expires 31 Dec 2025. 100% discount for 1st child, 25% discount for any additional child (ern) enrolled into a full time or part time or before/after program. Bonuses will not be paid. Non-Foreign Overseas Allowances This position is entitled to 8.64% COLA (Island of Oahu). COLA is subject to change without notice.
