Summary About the position: This position will be assigned to the Duke Fields Inn on Duke Field, Air Reserve Station, Florida. The position is a flexible position, which means you are not guaranteed hours or benefits but could work anywhere between 0 and 40 hours per week. Flex employees will be eligible for the use of the fitness center, lodging, and other activities. Position requires working irregular schedules, to include weekends, holidays, and all shifts. Requirements Conditions of Employment This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results. This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations. Must be able to complete a pre-employment physical Must possess a valid state driver's license; the ability to operate a motor vehicle in a safe manner. This is a drug testing designated position. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must know the proper uses of a variety of special cleaning and sanitizing solutions and how to remove different kinds of stains from a wide variety of surfaces. Must be able to clean and make adjustments to power cleaning equipment. Moderately heavy physical effort is required. The incumbent must frequently move and control heavy equipment, including pushing carts, weighing more than 100 pounds, loaded with dirty laundry or wastepaper, carry and set up ladders and scaffolding, and work from ladders. Frequently lifts and moves objects weighing 40 pounds, and occasionally objects weighing over 50 pounds. Scrubs, strips, waxes and polishes floors using heavy industrial powered scrubbers and buffers. Work requires the physical ability to handle and control heavy powered equipment, and to clean and make adjustments to the powered cleaning equipment. Work requires walking, bending, lifting, stooping. Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution. FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying. Additional information Individual must fully meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position. U.S. Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. Territory for three (3) or more consecutive years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation or a signed memorandum indicating the installation's decision on the 3-year residency requirement..
