Summary About the position: This position will be assigned to Outdoor Recreation (Outdoor Pool) on Holloman AFB, NM. The incumbent will work days and evenings, Monday through Sunday. Military Spouse Preference is not lost if selected for this position. This is a temporary position, Not to Exceed 30-SEP-2025. Requirements Conditions of Employment This position requires satisfactory completion of pre-employment checks in accordance with Air Force and DoD policy, and a Child Care Tier 1 background investigation. This position may require the incumbent to work days, nights, weekends, holidays and/or fixed and rotating schedules This position requires the incumbent to have the required lifeguard certifications. Must be willing to accept a temporary appointment. Qualifying Experience: Must have an approved and current nationally recognized certification in lifesaving and water rescue methods and skills, as well as basic first aid training, and CPR (both child and adult) training, or obtain before in-processing date will be scheduled Experience which provides practical knowledge of swimming activities, rules and procedures and skill in the use and maintenance of various pool and safety equipment is desirable. Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution. Additional information Individual must fully meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position. U.S. Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. Territory for three (3) or more consecutive years immediately preceding the start of Federal Affiliation or a signed memorandum indicating the installation's decision on the 3-year residency requirement.
