Summary About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Moose Run Golf Course on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, AK. This is a Seasonal position Not-To-Exceed 31-OCT-2025. This position is Flexible, meaning you are guaranteed a minimum of 0 hours per week to a maximum of 40 hours per week. Your schedule will depend on needs of the facility. Requirements Conditions of Employment This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results. This position requires the incumbent to complete a pre-employment physical. This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations. The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles. U.S. Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. Territory for three (3) or more consecutive years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation. The incumbent must meet the appropriate minimum age requirement. Qualifications Who May Apply: Open to everyone. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Knowledge of the proper application and use of diagnostic tools and equipment used for the tuning and analyzing of problems with small engines, hydraulic systems and electrical systems. This experience must have provided a thorough knowledge of and the ability to troubleshoot components and systems to locate equipment defects; interpret, and apply manufacturer's repair manuals and technical specifications, schematics, diagnostic codes, and safety manuals. Must be able to perform minor welding techniques. Must be physically able to frequently lift, handle and carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds, and with assistance or with mechanical devices, objects weighing up to and over 50 pounds. Must be able to frequently stand, bend, stoop, crawl and work in tight spaces for long periods of time. must be able to present information and instructions on the proper use of equipment. Must be a minimum of 18 years of age. Must be able to satisfactorily pass a pre-employment physical. Must satisfactorily complete a Background Investigation Tier 1 Level. Must possess a valid driver's license. Must provide current driving record. Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution. Additional information Individual must fully meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
