Summary This position is for Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (FMWR) at Fort Drum, New York. FMWR includes Child and Youth Services, Business Recreation, and Support Services, which enable Soldier readiness, support the resilience and well-being of Soldiers and Families. Requirements Conditions of Employment Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required. Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position. A one year probationary period may be required. Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check. Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with Army Regulation 215-3. A one-year Supervisory probationary period may be required. This position requires a favorably adjudicated T1/NACI background investigation. Work schedule will be irregular. The incumbent will be required to work, nights, weekends, holidays, and/or unique events. Qualifications Qualified candidates will possess the following: knowledge of a wide range of recreation and sports activities, organization and structure of military units and installation sports program objectives, policies, methods and procedures to plan, organize, and coordinate activities, assist, guide and motivate military staff in carrying out their responsibilities, AND a basic understanding of budget and supply functions in order to prepare input and justification of funding of supplies and equipment, AND ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing (English), AND work experience or education directly related to the duties of a Supervisory Recreation Specialist NF-0188-03. HIGHLY PREFERRED are those candidates that possess both the minimum qualifications above and: Two (2) years' experience working in an Automotive Shop or repairing vehicles.
