Job Description
Highlights include:
- Monday – Friday with Hospital Call & Rotating Weekends
- Inpatient Only
- Large employed physician group comprised of over 300 providers in over 40 areas of specialty
- Starting Base salary $112,000 -based on years of experience plus on-call incentives
- No State Income Tax
- 10 Hours Shifts with rotating weekday and weekend calls
- Experience in vein harvesting preferred
- The Cardiovascular Surgery PA-C will assist with Cardiovascular surgical operations and undertake pre-operative and post-operative procedures under the surgeon's guidance and supervision
- Answer concerns about surgery, recuperation, and risk factor management, and provide pre-operative education to the patient and family
- Obtain information and conduct physical and history exams
- Write orders, manage discharges, record and analyze relevant data (labs, diagnostic tests, discharge summaries, progress notes, etc.)
- Provide initial support for CABG, valve, aortic, and thoracic surgery, vein and radial artery harvesting, and cardiovascular surgery
- Capacity to carry out routine perioperative procedures in a hospital
- Management of surgical patients and consults
