Summary
***THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.***
This position is for a Security Off icer, Position Description Number T6006000 to serve as the Special Security Representative (SSR) under the direct supervision of the Senior Intelligence Off icer (SIO)".
This is a full-time, Excepted Permanent, position which DOES NOT require a Georgia Air National Guard Membership.

This position requires a Top Secret SCI security clearance (Special Compartmented Information) as a condition of employment. Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain required security clearance.
The employee may be required to travel TDY, sometimes on short notice, traveling in military and/or commercial aircraft or by any other designated means.
The employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours and tours of duty such as overtime, weekends, callback, uncommon tour of duty, holidays, etc. May be required to carry a cellular phone.
The employee will be required to have, or obtain, and maintain a valid driverβs license.
This is a Drug Testing Designated Position. The employee is subject to random drug testing (IAW HQ-USAF letter dated 29 Jan 90).
This position is designated as a key position IAW AFI 36-507. Duties of this position are essential to the accomplishment of wartime/contingency operations.
Incumbents of key positions must be removed from their military recall status if alternative for filling of the position during an emergency are not available.
This position is designated as Essential Personnel and may be subject to duty in preparation for, or in response to, a state emergency or disaster declaration.
This designation will not exceed 14 calendar days per year unless otherwise approved in advance by the TAG.
Qualifications
Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-13 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-12. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. Note: Time-In-Grade requirements also apply to former Federal employees applying for reinstatement as well as current employees applying for Veterans Employment Opportunities Act of 1998 (VEOA) appointment.
In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as developing goals and objectives that integrate plans, programs, testing, and sustainment for unclassified, Top Secret, and SAP security requirements that support military, civilian, and contractors to include all assigned and/or attached units and that meet, Air Force and Air National Guard (ANG) objectives. Additionally, the Deputy Director of Plans and Programs/Deputy Chief may oversee contractors working within Wing Plans and Programs and SAP facilities and in rare instances may act as the COR. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
