Job Description
Summary
This position is located at the Southwest Regional Office, in Albuquerque, New Mexico and is under the direct supervisory of the Fire Management Officer. This position is responsible for providing a range of program support services in the various areas of the fire program.
This announcement will be used to fill vacancies utilizing the Direct-Hire Authority (5CFR 337.201). Category rating, veteran's preference, and traditional rating and ranking of applicants do NOT apply for this vacancy.

Preference in filling vacancies is given to qualified Indian candidates in accordance with the Indian Preference Act of 1934 (title 25, USC Section 472). Form BIA -4432 must be submitted with the application if claiming Indian Preference.

A background security investigation will be required for all new hires. Appointment will be subject to the applicant's successful completion of a background security investigation and favorable adjudication.

This position requires the incumbent to possess and maintain a valid state driver's license.
Qualifications
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: (OPM Operating Manual, Qualification Standards for One-Grade Interval Clerical and Administrative Support Positions, GS-0303).
GS-7: 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-6 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in the public or private sector). This experience must include 6 of the 11 activities: 1) proficiently utilize Microsoft Office programs and other automated systems for creating travel authorizations; 2) reviewing travel vouchers; 3) maintaining time and attendance records; 4) monitoring financial data; 5) maintaining program budget activities; 6) charge card transactions; 7) inventory management; 8) processing purchase requests and generating reports; 9) coordinating and compiling program data from various resources for reporting purposes and monitoring multiple tasks, or projects to ensure completion by established due dates; 10) providing guidance or assisting others with budget support activities, travel regulations, time and attendance procedures, charge card policy, inventory management process, and records management schedules; 11) review purchase requests to ensure proper formatting forth review and approval process.
