Summary This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for 51% STRL Support to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. Specialized Experience: To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: 1. Determining program goals and developing internal policies, directives, and plans; 2. Performing as a Technical Advisor pertaining to planning, support, and execution; 3. Providing sound analytical advice in matters relating to operational and management issues; AND 4. Lead a team of employees to ensure continuity of assigned work. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS 12). Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Fort Eustis, Virginia is located in Newport News, between historic Williamsburg and Virginia Beach. Local Transportation via the Hampton Roads Transit (HRT) bus service to the surrounding area which includes Hampton, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Chesapeake and Virginia Beach, York County, Gloucester, Suffolk, and Smithfield.
