Summary About the position: This position will be assigned to the 6th Force Support Squadron Community Services Flight Outdoor Recreation AMC MacDill AFB, FL. Must be physically able to frequently lift, handle and carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds. Occasionally, moves moderately heavy items with assistance or with mechanical devices, including objects weighing up to or over 50 pounds. Requirements Conditions of Employment This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must have experience in the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of inboard and outboard diesel and gasoline motor malfunctions. This experience must have provided a thorough knowledge of and the ability to test and troubleshoot components and systems to locate marine equipment defects; interpret and apply manufacturer's repair manuals and technical specifications, schematics, diagnostic codes, and safety manuals; operate electronic test equipment. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI). Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution. FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying. Additional information Individual must fully meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
