Summary This position is located in the Space Utilization Planning and Design Section, Facility Services Division, Integrated Support Services Directorate, Chief Operating Officer. The position description number for this position is 337294. The salary range indicated reflects the locality pay adjustments for the Washington, D.C., Metropolitan area. This is a supervisory, non-bargaining unit position. Qualifications Applicants must have had progressively responsible experience and training sufficient in scope and quality to furnish them with an acceptable level of the following knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the position without more than normal supervision. Ability to lead, supervise, and manage interior design and technical staff.** Ability to coordinate facility design and renovation program and project management.** Knowledge of design and renovation service work in historic and occupied facilities.** Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships and resolve problems managing facility projects and/or programs. Knowledge of the federal procurement policies, financial transfers, and reporting processes as related to facility planning, design, renovation, and furniture services. Ability to use innovative thinking and analytical methods to evaluate facility requirements. Ability to communicate effectively other than in writing.
