This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs. Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. The Screen-out Element for this position is: I have the ability to perform common tasks including: 1) Diagnosing, overhauling, repairing, and testing various components requiring knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical and mechanical principals; 2) Using hand tools, jigs, fixtures, special tools, test equipment, measuring devices, and cleaning equipment; 3) Troubleshooting to determine and isolate malfunctions in less complicated assemblies and components; 4) Diagnosing operational failures to determine the extent of repairs and whether to rework or replace faulty parts, in less complex subassemblies, assemblies, component's and systems to estimate time required to complete repairs.
