MAINTENANCE WORKER

Summary About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Eagles Rest Inn on Dover AFB. Purpose of this position is to perform building maintenance duties throughout the lodging complex. Also to maintain grounds around lodging facilities to include sidewalk, parking, grass, and planted areas. As a FLEX employee you may work anywhere between 0-40 hrs. per week on an as needed basis. Requirements Conditions of Employment This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results. Must be able to actively stand, bend, stoop, and work in cramped and strained positions for long periods of time. Must be physically able to frequently lift and carry heavy objects weighing up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and carry objects weighing up to 100 pounds with assistance. Must satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical. Must possess a valid drivers license. Must have the ability to use a variety of common hand and power tools, and have experience in reading schematics and diagrams. This position has been identified as a Test Designated Position (TDP). The incumbent of this position will be subject to and must consent to pre-employment and random drug testing. Qualifications Who May Apply: Open to everyone. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must have general repair and maintenance experience in a variety of areas including common household plumbing, painting and plastering, electrical, and carpentry. Must have specialized experience in the field of electrical/electronics or similar maintenance, which required the use of test equipment such as multi meters, voltmeters, or other similar test equipment. Must have the ability to use a variety of common hand and power tools, and have experience in reading schematics and diagrams. Education This position does not have an education qualification requirement. Additional information Individual must fully meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
