Club Operations Assistant (Flyers)

Summary About the position: This position is Nonappropriated Fund (NAF) and is located at the 35th Force Support Squadron Flyers The primary purpose of this position is to assist the Flyers Manager only overnight in the economic and efficient operations of the restaurant. This is a Flexible category position; guaranteed 0 hours per week but may work up to 40 hours a week (depending on the needs of the facility). Military Spouse Preference is not lost if selected for this position. Requirements Conditions of Employment This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results. Must be able to work OVERNIGHT to include weekends, and holidays. Must possess and maintain a valid regular or official passport. Qualifications Who May Apply: Open to everyone. Qualifying Experience: Must have experience which provides knowledge of club, restaurant, OR retail operation. Must also possess experience which provides knowledge of cash handling procedures and sales operations Must have experience which demonstrates ability to provide work direction to other employees and knowledge of fire, safety, and health regulations Must be able to communicate with customers and possess skills in dealing with the public Conditions of Employment Must be able to satisfactorily complete a Tier 1 background check May be required to work an uncommon tour of duty to include days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution in order to qualify. Additional information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. All Federal NAF employees are required by PL 104-134 to have salary payments made by electronic funds transfer/direct deposit. Probationary period may be required.
