Summary This position is located at the Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center, IN supporting Community Based Outpatient Centers, Outpatient surgery and medicine clinics. The position is responsible for providing essential clinical and administrative support across multiple disciplines, ensuring seamless patient care and clinic operations. This role demands adaptability and dedication to patient service and expediting the care and treatment of patients while maintaining safe and therapeutic environment. You may qualify based on your experience as described below: Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS5 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: Experience working in a busy outpatient setting, providing efficient and high-quality care to a diverse patient population. Proficiency in assisting with urology procedures, including catheterizations, cystoscopies, and other diagnostic and therapeutic interventions. Experience in podiatry clinic settings, such as assisting with foot and ankle care, minor surgical procedures, and the application of dressings and orthotic devices. Familiarity with rheumatology practices, assisting with joint injections. Skilled in supporting cardiology clinics, including performing EKGs. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, families, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams. Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment and maintain meticulous attention to detail. Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems and other medical documentation software.
