Family Medicine or Internal Medicine - ALS Medical Director Opportunity

St. Peters Health Partners is seeking a Family Medicine or Internal Medicine trained Physician with expertise or special interest in ALS to join the St. Peters Regional ALS Center located in Albany, New York.

The St. Peters Regional ALS Center was established in 1988 to provide people with ALS and their families with a comprehensive and specialized blend of services and resources. The center provides both a medical and an emotional system of support to help maintain quality of life throughout the course of the disease.

The Medical Director will provide part-time services in an outpatient clinic setting located in Albany. This role will work closely with an interdisciplinary team including a Social Worker, Nursing, and support staff to provide comprehensive care to patients with ALS. The Physician will work with consultants and staff, to manage and address goals of care and treatment plans, and to provide guidance and education to patients and families.

Work schedule is one and a half days per week in the ALS outpatient center, remote follow-up on patient care and telephone call coverage for the center totaling 28 hours biweekly. This may include on occasion, home visits to patients.

**Ability to come in full-time in conjunction with another position**

REQUIREMENTS:

Applicants should have the following:

• NYS licensure
• DEA certification required
• Board Certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine required
• Fellowship training or work experience in Palliative Care, Hospice, Neurology or Physiatry would be a plus.

RECRUITMENT PACKAGE

St. Peters Health Partners offers a comprehensive salary and compensation package that includes:

• Competitive salary of $125 to $135/hr.
• The posted salary reflects the starting range of total compensation and does not include productivity bonuses, incentives related to quality and performance, extra shift incentives, and other forms of cash compensation as applicable to the position. In addition, providers typically receive a CME allowance and other benefits offered by their medical group employer. Please note that this salary range is provided in accordance with State law and is subject to variation due to the factors noted above.
