Job Description

Summary This position is located at Fort Campbell, KY - MWR Aquatics. This is a "Flexible" position (0-40 hours) with no eligibility to participate in the NAF Employee Benefits Plans. Requirements Conditions of Employment Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required. Must meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position. Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check. Successful completion of a pre-employment physical is required for this position. May be required to lift up to 25 lbs. Continuous exposure to sun and prolonged periods of high temperature and humidity. In case of exposure to infectious disease, incumbent is required to obtain the Hepatitis B vaccination series within a 24-hour period. Lifeguards must have good vision (corrected vision if necessary) while on duty to effectively recognize all emergencies, incidents and rule breaking. Incumbent is required to follow environmental safeguards and wear personal protective equipment. May be assigned to irregular duties or when needed for special recreational events and related requirements. Work hours may involve weekend, weekdays, holidays and night duty. Fifteen(15) year old lifeguards must comply with the restriction of the DOL Child Labors Law (Jan 17, 2006). All required certifications must be kept current. Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation. Must have current health assessment which documents good physical health, and free from communicable disease IAW current Army Policy. Must be available to work weekdays, weekends, early mornings, evenings, and holidays. Qualifications Qualification Requirements are: Possesses and maintains the following certifications: Lifeguarding and First Aid (American Red Cross or nationally recognized equivalent i.e. Star Guard, YMCA, or ELLIS) American Red Cross "Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation for the Professional CPR for the Professional Rescuer/AED or equivalent (American Heart Association CPR/AED) First Aid In addition, for facilities that use Oxygen Administration "02 bottles" the 02 Administration certification (American Red Cross "Oxygen. Administration or installation offered training (i.e. Fire Dept.) must be obtained within two weeks of reporting for duty. Pay-Band (NF or CY) Allowances and Differentials - This is a pay-banded position. - Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday).
