Summary About the position: This position will be assigned to the Grissom Inn on Grissom ARB, IN. The primary purpose of this position is to perform a variety of cleaning tasks to include cleaning guest rooms and areas of the Lodging facility. The position is a flexible position, which means you are not guaranteed hours or benefits but could work anywhere between 0 and 40 hours per week. Position requires working irregular schedules, to include weekends, holidays, and all shifts. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Ability to follow simple oral and written instructions. Ability to use hand or lightweight powered cleaning tools or equipment. Ability to physically perform the full range of assigned duties. Physical Effort: The work involves light physical effort, such as that involved in using vacuum cleaners and dry mops; running lightweight powered scrubbers and buffers; continually standing, bending, stooping, and reaching; frequently lifting and emptying wastebaskets; frequently pushing carts that may weigh up to 100 pounds, loaded with dirty laundry or wastepaper; occasionally lifting and carrying items weighing up to 20 pounds. Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.
