About the team
Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Experience is part of Global Business Operations and provides oversight on financial activities and controls including general accounting, management and external reporting and financial planning and analysis. The department is responsible for the interpretation of financial and statutory data, the coordination and management of financial and statutory reporting, the management of the P&L and balance sheet delivering solutions that will increase insight and transparency.

An outstanding opportunity has opened to join the Europe FP&A Team and get great experience in the Region's business performance management.
The Europe FP&A team based in Budapest is responsible for supporting the total Diageo Europe business, including 6 various markets and 50+ countries. The Team liaises with the various business finance and management teams to lead Europe's finance agenda in various areas through-out the fiscal year.
The role
The A&P Manager is responsible Europe's A&P budgets amounting to $500 Million p.a. including
- managing expenses in line with agreed financial targets
- being involved in strategic discussions to deliver encouraged financial outcomes
- driving monthly forecasting (Risk&Opportunities) process including P&L and AWC/Cash forecasting
- owning A&P planning cycle E2E
- ensuring H1/FY financial landing is led at a very detailed level with all key Partners
- ensuring expenses are recorded in an accurate and timely manner by implementing accounting control processes
- optimising and driving effectiveness and efficiency in the accounting processes to enable the Europe teams to focus on the commercial agenda
The Lead and the Team intensively supports Brand, Central, Customer Marketing and Innovation A&P Stakeholders to deliver on key goals.
The role reports into the Europe FP&A Leader and is responsible for guiding and developing a high performance team of 5-10 A&P Analysts; coordinates the work and resolves challenges with Senior Business partners in Europe.
About you
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
- 7-8 years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis and/or Financial Controlling.
- Proven experience in global FMCG, shared services, or similarly dynamic operating environments.
- Solid accounting expertise with a strong grasp of financial principles.
- Demonstrated success in leading and developing teams
- Problem-Solving Excellence: Skilled at resolving sophisticated issues with independence and precision.
- Financial & Commercial Insight: Strong analytical capabilities with a proven track record to connect with partners across all levels. Expertise in connecting insights across departments to see the "big picture" and anticipate business needs. In-depth knowledge of competitors and industry trends.
- Strategic Influencing: Builds strong cross-functional relationships within business divisions and across markets. Track record of influencing senior partners, often in virtual and multicultural settings.
- Effective Communication: Crafts concise and impactful narratives tailored to the audience, supported by clear and confident presentations. Shows strength in non-verbal communication to reinforce messages.
- Commercial Savvy: Understands the operational intricacies of the business and connects broader strategic goals with departmental objectives.
- Proficient in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
