Description

TrueLayer’s Commercial team plays a crucial role in the financial services sector, ensuring exceptional service and trust throughout the sales cycle. Our mission is to exceed customer expectations and deliver outstanding experiences with TrueLayer’s products. Reporting to the Country Manager - Germany, we are seeking a proactive Account Executive with a solid background in sales within the FinTech sector. 

This role will focus on vertical sales, targeting various segments such as e-commerce and financial services. As part of our expansion in Germany, you will build and develop your own robust pipeline of strategic accounts and partnerships, implement innovative outreach campaigns and take full ownership of your accounts' lifecycle from initial contact to live transactions.

What we expect from you as an Account Executive:

  • Oversee the progression of sales activities with customers, beginning with outreach and culminating in the sealing of the agreement.
  • Catalyse income generation through expertise in e-commerce and financial services.
  • Manage and expand your sales pipeline within various verticals in Germany.
  • Utilise your industry knowledge and network to cultivate relationships with key clients.
  • Represent TrueLayer at industry events, engaging with potential clients and identifying business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to optimise the sales pipeline and improve conversion rates/sales velocity.
  • Partner with Sales Development Representatives to qualify leads and arrange meetings. 
  • Work with the Sales Integration team to enhance prospect integration and conversion.
  • Understand the evolving technology landscape and its implications for clients.
  • Stay informed about client needs and industry trends.
  • Utilise data to measure and report sales KPIs accurately.
  • Advocate for client needs in internal product discussions.
  • Ensure smooth client onboarding in collaboration with the Client Success team.
  • Assist in recruiting great talent for the Commercial team and TrueLayer.

About you:

  • Previous experience in a commercial role, ideally as both a SDR and an AE, with a documented history of FinTech, SaaS, or Payments.
  • Skilled in creating connections and effectively communicating with key participants.
  • Passion for Open Banking, PSD2, FinTech, payments, and data.
  • Advanced communication and relationship-building skills, capable of engaging both technical and non-technical decision-makers.
  • Technical curiosity, with a deep understanding of clients’ products and businesses.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment and deliver results under tight deadlines.
  • Fluent in German and English. (C1 / “advanced”)
