The Accounting Analyst will report to Accounting Manager and support Sr. Accounting Analyst for closing accounting books monthly in a full-scope of accounts receivable and supporting revenue accounting functions.

Responsibilities

• Analyze A/R aging to determine payment collection priority based on sound judgement and follow up with clients with discretion
• Record client payments and apply credit memos in accounting system ensuring accuracy
• Analyze client media billing data imported to accounting system weekly and proactively resolve any discrepancies for reconciliation and post accurately
• Manage client fee schedule and prepare manual client fee invoices monthly 
• Analyze posted client revenue and prepare client fee accruals monthly
• Manage client billable T&E transactions according to client T&E guidelines and prepare manual client billable T&E expense packets monthly 
• Analyze client billable T&E expense posted monthly to determine accruals and reclasses not meeting client guidelines 
• Review and post media billing and revenue recognition entries in accounting system monthly ensuring the imported journal batches are free of error 
• Act as a liaison to the parent entity’s A/P to prepare intercompany reconciliation between company’s A/R and Revenue to parent entity’s A/P and COS quarterly
• Collaborate with company A/P team to create/modify overhead vendors in multiple systems (accounting > payment)
• Manage and distribute incoming mails pertaining to accounting team, and make check deposits as necessary according to internal recordkeeping practice
• Ensure compliance with internal controls in the scope of responsibilities and maintain proper supporting documents for financial and client audits
• Demonstrate the ability to manage daily tasks independently and effectively, and respond to ad-hoc reporting, analysis, and special assignments, as required

Qualifications

• Associate degree in accounting or finance
• 3+ years of experience in general accounting preferably accounts receivable
• Working knowledge of accounting principles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Self-starter and team player
• Media or similar industry experience highly preferred
• Relevant application experiences preferred (i.e. MS D365 Business Central, MediaOcean Spectra OX, and SAP Concur)

Actual base salary is determined upon factors such as experience, qualifications, training, certifications, and internal equity. The Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Base salary is part of a total rewards package that includes highly competitive benefits like generous medical, dental, vision, pet insurance, commuter benefits, disability and life insurance coverage, 401(k) matching, up to 14 holidays per year, a “Do Good Day,” and unlimited PTO.
