Accounts Payable Specialist

Principal Duties/Responsibilities:

· Enters invoices into system for payment.

· Matches check voucher to invoice.

· Offers assistance to vendors.

· Secures petty cash and its distribution.

· Solves grief invoices.

· Prints month-end reports.

· Provides backup for other members of department as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (KSAs), & Competencies:

Essential KSAs:

· Associates Degree in Accounting; and three years experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

· Must be able to use the adding machine efficiently and accurately.

· Must be mathematically inclined.

· ACH / check run payment experience.

· Ability to: write routine reports and correspondence; speak effectively before groups of employees of ATS; add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs; apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions; deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Desirable KSAs:

· Team player, organized, self-motivated and able to prioritize.

· Able to work successfully with computers and software.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands/fingers to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch; and talk or hear. The employee is also required to use a telephone with headset for verbal troubleshooting, frequent use of a standard keyboard and computer to document calls in a ticketing system, and occasional use of other office equipment. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move more than 30 pounds. The employee is occasionally required to sit for long periods and use close and color vision. Work is typically performed in a moderately noisy business office.
