Job Description

Ally is seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist who is willing to go the extra mile to service our accounts! The role includes a variety of duties including cash application, contacting customers for payment resolution, revising and sending invoices, and managing/monitoring delinquent accounts. The right individual will thrive in a fast-paced environment and be confident in their ability to handle escalated situations collaboratively with the Finance team!

JOB DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify issues contributing to the delinquency of an account
  • Review data and compile into Excel spreadsheets
  • Revising and sending invoices
  • Contacting customers via phone or email for payment resolution 
  • Ensure all clients remain informed of their outstanding debts and deadlines
  • Match payments to corresponding invoices and apply correctly
  • Generate monthly and quarterly aging reports

QUALIFICATIONS:

A successful candidate must possess the following traits/skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Two years experience in a related field, or customer-facing environment
  • A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Solid understanding of basic Excel tasks
  • Alignment with Ally’s #HUSTLE values
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A highly confident, yet humble, personality
  • Must thrive in a fast-paced and high-energy environment
  • Must be a problem-solver, seeking to find solutions before problems even arise
