Advanced Heart Failure Physician Opportunity in Fort Lauderdale, Florida

Holy Cross Hospital, a JCAHO-Certified Program in Advanced Heart Failure, seeks a dynamic and skilled Board Certified/Board Eligible Heart Failure Cardiologist to join our thriving, non-transplant, non-LVAD program in beautiful Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Our program is distinguished by its JCAHO certification in Advanced Heart Failure, reflecting our commitment to the highest standards of patient care and clinical excellence. We are also a proud recipient of the American Heart Association's Get With The Guidelines- Heart Failure Gold-Plus Quality Achievement Award.

 

OPPORTUNITY DETAILS

  • Experienced & Collaborative Team: Join two board-certified Heart Failure (HF) physicians and a dedicated HF clinic staffed by two experienced ARNPs.
  • Comprehensive Outpatient & Inpatient Services: Manage a diverse patient population with a focus on HFrEF, HFpEF, and cardiac amyloidosis.
  • Advanced Therapeutic Options: We offer a robust suite of advanced HF therapies including:
    • CardioMEMS HF System program for remote pulmonary artery pressure monitoring.
    • Cardiac Barostimulation program (Barostim therapy).
    • Active CPET (Cardiopulmonary Exercise Testing) program.
    • Although we are a non-transplant/non-LVAD implanting center, we are an LVAD shared care facility, ensuring continuity of care for this complex patient population.
  • Strong Procedural & Diagnostic Support: Benefit from in-house right heart catheterization capabilities and a supportive structural cardiology program.
  • Academic & Research Opportunities: Engage in numerous ongoing clinical trials in heart failure, contributing to the advancement of cardiovascular medicine.
  • Integrated & Multidisciplinary Care: Work closely with a strong supporting medical group, including dedicated oncology and pulmonology colleagues, with established co-management programs for cardio-oncology and pulmonary hypertension.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease and Advanced Heart Failure & Transplant Cardiology (or equivalent)
  • Proficient and experienced in CPET interpretation, right heart catheterization, endomyocardial biopsy, and echocardiography
  • Passionate about managing complex heart failure patients across the spectrum of the disease
  • Committed to clinical excellence, patient-centered care, and evidence-based medicine
  • Interested in playing a key role in the continued growth and development of our advanced heart failure services
  • An excellent communicator with a collaborative spirit, able to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Willing to participate in some General Cardiology coverage

 

This opportunity is open to candidates who have recently completed training, as well as experienced physicians.
