Position Summary
The Advanced Network Engineer is responsible for managing and troubleshooting Wintrust's network, running reports on network health and usage, providing input and completing tasks on major technology projects and providing technical support to internal staff and teams. He or she will assist network architects and senior engineers with implementation of network technologies. The role requires strict adherence to Wintrust's Network standards, policies, processes and procedures and may require some travel to remote locations in the Chicago and outlying area footprint of operations.
What You'll Do
  • Manage the corporate network (WAN/LAN) environments
  • Develop and maintain network documentation
  • Racking and stacking of data center/IDF/MDF equipment
  • Familiar with network monitoring tools, preferably Solarwinds
  • Network cabling/patching
  • Cisco device configuration
  • Manage network policies
  • Provide troubleshooting and end user support both in person and over the phone
  • Monitor network system health
  • Perform system audits and other data gathering in support of Network Infrastructure support
  • Expertise in 1 or more Wintrust Network Infrastructure supported technologies
  • Provide training and knowledge transfer to network engineers
  • Good understanding of Cisco switching technology and protocols
  • Execute planned upgrades/patching per defined Wintrust Technology Network policies/standards

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 5-7 years of related experience
  • Experience with Cisco ACI
  • Experience with network load balancers
  • Experience with DNS, DHCP, IP management (DDI) - preferably Infoblox
  • Experience with Cisco ISE/NAC
  • Experience with DNA and SD-Access
  • Experience with Cisco Meraki
  • Exposure with SD-WAN technology
  • Experience with change management
