The Impact You'll Make in this Role

As an Advanced Technical Automation Specialist, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Driving commercial efforts to support customer adoption of tape and adhesive bonding automation-enabled technologies
• Connecting customer bonding needs with commercially available automation solutions and/or 3M internal support capabilities
• Be the internal subject matter expert on automated dispensing solutions
• Training and mentoring sales and technical team members on all aspects of automation and delivering tangible results through others

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
• Ten (10) years of Research & Development, Technical Service and/or Application Development in a private, public, government or military environment
• Seven (7) years of experience in dispensing liquid adhesives with sales and/or customer experience in a private, public, government or military environment.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Knowledge and interest in the development of automation-enabling ecosystems
• Demonstrated expertise and success in exploratory new products/platform work, including effective customer engagement
• Project experience working with sales and business development teams
• Highly motivated and results oriented with strong execution skills (e.g. project management)
• Operates with a sense of urgency and customer-first mindset

Work location:

• Work Your Way Eligible (Employee choice to work remote, on site, or hybrid)

Travel: May include up to 25% domestic/international

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $155,615 - $190,196, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
