Reporting to the Vehicle Marketing and Communications Cross Vehicle Manager, the Analyst - Asset Management & Finance Planner is responsible for all coordination for physical and digital asset activity for the VMaC prototype budget and serves as a critical liaison for the VMaC series teams, TEMA, TTC, TMC MPD, Z and Design and other Toyota Distributors. In addition, this expansive role also interacts with Corporate Communications, Auto Shows, Product Planning, Accessories, Motorsports, Treasury, Finance, Accounts Payable, Import & Customs, Global Netting and Toyota agency partners.

What you'll be doing:

Provide direct support to VMaC series teams to ensure all asset related marketing activities are successful. This includes the need to provide strategic guidance to team members and remain fiscally efficient and productive.

A primary goal of the position requires the appropriate, accurate, and timely coordination and payment of assets, including prototypes, CAD data, vehicle photos, and transportation expenses. A formal, bi-annual Request for Design Disclosure Approval (RDDA) process is overseen throughout the year which governs the entire scope of details from initial request through asset arrival through asset disposition. This activity also includes administration of the security-sensitive, Code Red policies.

A separate goal of the position is to serve as the visible face of the VMaC department for all asset-related activity and to actively conduct ongoing individual and group training activity to ensure the entire annual asset process continuity is observed within and between the stakeholder departments and provide support to North American distributors.

Specific areas of concentration include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Analyze and create annual engineering Kosu work hours budget forecast
  • Manage significant annual budget, including monthly budget reconciliation
  • Create and manage purchase orders and Global Netting payments
  • Coordinate with TMNA Treasury, Import and Export departments
  • Coordinate North American Study Team (NAST) and National Press Preview (NPP) accounting
  • Directly process transportation billing for MSE and Reliable transportation companies
  • Manage the department Purchase Card (P-Card) activity
  • Interact with global distributor partners
  • Coordinate TMC video conferences
  • Administer CAD data and prototype expense payments
  • Support CAD delivery to agency partners
  • Facilitate Code Red photo requests with VMaC teams
  • Manage Code Red Asset Sharing and Project Review websites, including scrum oversight

What you bring:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience in technical training, research & development, or automotive industry
  • Strong analytical skills used for identifying trends from multiple data sources
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively on cross-organizational teams where results are achieved through influence and the incorporation of multiple points of view
  • Superior time management skills and an ability to manage multiple projects at the same time
  • A structured mindset to evaluate multiple scenarios and select the best solution through a quantitative process
  • Independently motivated, detail oriented and good problem-solving ability.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to present technical and non-technical information to mixed audiences.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Proficiency in Ariba accounting system
  • Experience interacting with Toyota Procurement Department
  • Some after-hours work including supporting Japan time zone
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.

  • An MBA degree, or finance-related background
  • Prior experience interacting with TMC
  • A passion for the automotive industry and familiarity with Toyota, Lexus and competitor products
