The Analytical Development Scientist for Cytiva is responsible for supporting the Fast Trak Process Development Services (PDS) group by providing technical and scientific support for the execution of analytical assays for various biologics modalities.
This position is part of the Fast Trak Process Development Services located in Marlborough, MA and will be on-site. At Cytiva, our vision is, to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.
What you will do:
- One of the primary technical points of contact within PDS, responsible for SOP generation, investigations, and resolution of straightforward technical issues.
- Responsible for hands-on execution of analytical techniques such as qPCR, ddPCR, HPLC, ELISA, gel electrophoresis, flow cytometry, TCID50 and plaque assays.
- Perform data recording, analysis, and troubleshooting with moderate level of guidance and direction.
- Document analytical work and results in concise reports and provide project updates in written and oral presentations both internally and with clients.
- Contribute to a safe, efficient, and effective lab environment with personal accountability.
Who you are:
- Bachelor degree or higher in biochemical engineering, molecular biology, biochemistry, or related scientific subject area.
- 3 + years in process development or clinical manufacturing laboratory setting with a focus on analytical assay development, planning and execution of projects and tech transfer.
- Possesses excellent bench skills with attention to detail and high standards for data integrity and quality.
- Strong understanding and hands-on experience of mammalian cell culture processes for cell-based assays.
- Team player with ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Hand-on experience on analytical techniques such as HPLC, UPLC, FACS, and Capillary Electrophoresis (CE) are a plus.
- GLP requirements in biopharmaceutical manufacturing preferred.
