The Applications Engineer I provides both pre and post-sale application engineering / technical product support to equipment owners, service contractors, customers, inside and outside sales - primarily for the Coldzone name brand product lines. Generates refrigerated room load selections, equipment price quotes and submittal data sheets (when required). Support the custom quote program to provide pricing for custom / non-cataloged products.

This position will serve our HTPG Division, located in either Duluth, GA, Scottsboro, AL, or Ontario, CA.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
  • Develop new customers and grow market share in support of achieving Division sales goals.
  • Properly size, select, and provide written quotes to the customer on assigned product lines in a timely manager.
  • Assist in developing written annualized marketing, advertising, and training plans with dates, budgets, and resources necessary.
  • Compile and analyze competitive market data in respect to price, products, and programs. Profile the respective trade area and set specific recruitment of new customer targets necessary to attain Division growth objectives.
  • Submit a written quarterly plan that outlines activities that support the accomplishment of the annual business plan.
  • Provide timely, accurate reports as required by the territory manager.
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications:

WHAT YOU NEED:
  • Bachelors Degree in related field.
  • Experience in applications engineering or related field.
  • Strong communicative skills (speaking, writing, & listening) with the ability to present information and respond to questions from groups, directors or top management
  • Independent thought, good judgment, problem solving skills and ability to prioritize multiple projects
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve sales objectives
  • Ability to effectively present and sell company products
  • Ability to develop sales strategies for a territory, manage projects and problem solve.
  • Solid understanding of the channels of distribution and OEMs within the industry, and the ability to grow and support them
  • Ability to build positive working relationships, both internally and externally
  • Ability to travel with no restriction
